Following a 5-way pitch we are delighted to be working with News (UK) and The Sun Holidays.

So let’s rewind a little. At the back end of 2014 we received the brief; to create a new and exciting travel product platform direct from The Sun.
For years The Sun has promoted £9.50 holidays and is launching a dedicated proposition in the form of a dedicated Sun Holidays travel website. The brief stated that the site needed to be easy to use and engage The Sun’s audience. It needed to inspire and not be just another travel website, it needed to retain the essence of The Sun and communicate as a credible, trusted authority on holidays for their readers.
Victoria Sanders, The Sun Holidays Managing Director, said “We knew what we didn’t want – another run of the mill travel website. Designate helped us to visualise our thoughts and ideas that were shaped by detailed competitor analysis and customer research. The end result – well everyone thinks it’s simply fantastic”
The priority was amazing deals. The Sun’s audience are looking for deals and will purchase based on word of mouth and recommendation. The priority in the customers’ decision-making process is price rather than destination. The design allows provision for engaging ways customers can search for holiday deals.
So, just 8 weeks after the pitch we are live. It was an amazing project to be involved in, an efficient and talented team on all sides collaborated under terrific deadlines.
And we delivered. A website generating online buzz and becoming the place for exciting and value for money holidays with deals to blow your mind and not your budget.
