Future Sessions – Spotlight on our speakers
In the first of four posts in the run up to our Future Sessions seminar in London on 30th April, we will shine the spotlight on each of our speakers.
Up first is Steve Endacott – Non-Exec Chairman, Teletext Holidays.
Steve has the unusual distinction of having extensive experience within both the corporate and entrepreneurial environments.
After the collapse of Steve’s On Holiday Group business, triggered by a £4.5m VAT dispute with HMRC, he has spent more time fulfilling consultancy and Non Executive director roles, across a range of travel and non-travel brands, including his role as Chairman of Teletext Holidays.
Steve also continues hold shareholdings and play an active entrepreneurial role in business he has helped found, such as Holiday Taxis, Rock Insurance, Internet Traveller, Luggage Mule and CWT Digital.
However Steve has built his present entrepreneurial business activities by pulling on 15 years of experience leading traditional package tour operators. Steve’s corporate career involved high profile directorships in some of the UK’s largest tour operating groups spanning financial controller of International Leisure Group to Deputy Chief Operating Officer of MYTravel Plc and included directorship over finance, yield management, marketing, contracting, overseas operations, sales and retail operations.
In his 15 minutes on stage we will hear from Steve on The Age of Brand: In an age where unique product is virtually unheard of – how else will the consumer make their choice?
