In the second of five posts in the run up to our Future Sessions seminar in London on 30th July, we will shine the spotlight on each of our speakers.

Up next is Marc Gutreich.

As Board Director at Open Outdoor, Marc is responsible for the planning and buying of OOH campaigns across a wide variety of agencies and clients.

With over 20 years in media, 15 of which have been spent in out-of-home Marc began his career on the media sales side of the fence in TV (TSMS), moving then into radio at the start-up sales house for GWR group, Opus.

Two years later the world of OOH beckoned, with a move to (the unfortunately now ‘deceased’) Maiden before being approached by JCDecaux and spending nearly 5 years there, including overseeing the setup of the Central Trading Unit.

An opportunity at Open then presented itself, and a chance to see how things worked on the ‘other side’ – in his 10 years at Open he’s been lucky enough to play a part in the significant growth of the business, with staff numbers and turnover more than doubling and in February 2014 the purchase of the business by Posterscope (part of Dentsu Aegis group).

Open continues to offer market-leading levels of service and deliver fantastic campaigns for their clients, with the hunger of an independent but the backup of a global resource that their link to Posterscope affords them.
