A quick look back whilst going forwards

A quick look back whilst going forwards

It’s been a busy year, but 2018 was an exciting one for Designate. We turned 25, we gained some exciting clients, produced award-winning work and picked up a few more team mates along the way. Most importantly, we were able to do a lot of great things for our clients and the community. As we ring in 2019, let’s take a look back at some of our favourite things from the past year.

During 2018, we created some exciting campaigns and helped our clients achieve their goals. We helped LV= become the fastest growing and second biggest UK insurance brand with our ‘From The Heart’ campaign. We’ve also expanded our existing LV= portfolio by partnering with LV=FS.

We launched Medichecks’ first-ever TV advert and created a new campaign for Columbus Insurance. City Cruises got a brand revamp, and so did Hampshire Trust Bank and asb law.

We’ve entered into some exciting new partnerships too. Olympic Holidays, Rib Club and Brighton-based financial provider OneFamily to name just a few. Here’s to 2019 as the year of forging creative partnerships with even more ambitious people.

Awards? We thought you’d never ask…

We picked up a couple of awards along the way too. We were over the moon to have won Campaign of the Year for work that we did with Kuoni, the luxury travel specialists, at the Travel Marketing Awards.

And LV= also stole the show this year in the financial sector, winning awards for:

Brand Management at The British Insurance Awards

New Product, Service or Innovation at The Financial Services Forum Awards for Marketing Effectiveness.

Brand of the Year at Insurance & PR Awards 2018.

Our clients triumphed this year at the British Travel Awards too, with wins from Tropical Sky, Olympic Holidays, Brittany Ferries, Kuoni and Mark Warner.

We plan on adding to this list in 2019.

Giving back

At Designate, we’re proud of where we live and work and believe in giving back to our community. In 2018, Designate donated services, time and money to YMCA Brighton, The Children with Cancer Fund and 1BTN. This is just the start, giving back is a key part of who we are and why we do what we do, and we can’t wait to see more ways in which we can help our home town in 2019.

2019 is already off to a flying start with new clients we’ll be working with and plenty of exciting briefs in the pipeline. An exciting year awaits – and it’s only January.
